The Role

As an ITAM Consultant, you will bring a balanced mix of licensing knowledge, operational discipline, and tooling experience across Tier 2 vendors (such as Adobe, Citrix, VMware) while supporting selected Tier 1 publishers (such as Oracle, IBM, SAP, Microsoft). You'll operate as a versatile consultant within our ITAM practice—validating data, producing licence positions, and contributing to compliance and optimisation workstreams.

Much of your work will be underpinned by Flexera FNMS, where you will apply both technical and licensing knowledge to deliver accurate, actionable outcomes for clients.

 

Consultant Capabilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across Tier 2 vendor landscapes.
• Support licence position creation and optimisation across Tier 2 Vendors such as Adobe, Citrix, VMware, and other key publishers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and operational consultants to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy.
• Communicate licensing and compliance insights clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• Bring a pragmatic, value-driven approach—balancing compliance assurance with cost optimisation.

 

Responsibilities

• Build and validate Effective Licence Positions (ELPs) for Tier 2 vendors, and contribute to Tier 1 ELPs.
• Manage and maintain Flexera FNMS data for assigned publishers (contracts, licences, purchases).
• Identify and remediate data gaps affecting compliance reporting.
• Provide recommendations on optimisation opportunities, licence right-sizing, and vendor risk management.
• Support KPI dashboards and reporting outputs aligned to ITAM maturity goals.
• Keep abreast of vendor licensing changes (Adobe subscription models, VMware/Broadcom integration, Citrix virtualisation, etc.) and their impact on clients.

 

About You

• 5–8 years' experience in ITAM/SAM roles, with proven Flexera FNMS expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Tier 2 vendor licensing models and familiarity with Tier 1 publishers (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft).
• Skilled in data validation, normalisation, and reconciliation in ITAM tools.
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain licensing positions to non-specialist stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying optimisation opportunities.
